Ivory Oasis Tunic

Every summer wardrobe needs a bohemian tunic like this – the sort of piece that makes beach bar staff ask if you want a cheeky prosecco and you wonder if you should’ve ordered a hot chocolate. It’s loose, flowing, and yet somehow still looks effortlessly put together. The embroidered V-neck plunges just low enough to be interesting, but not so far you have to shave your navel. And it’s trimmed with a lacy border that feels like it ought to belong to someone called Astrid who runs a small batch soap business. The body is cut into gentle tiers with another run of that crochet lace at each panel, giving it some fullness and movement without making it look like you’re hiding last night’s fish-and-chips regret.

You know those pieces you can throw on over swimmers as easily as you could wear them to that “garden picnic” dinner where no one actually sits on the grass? It’s exactly that style. Fringed sleeves hit just below the elbow – perfect for avoiding sunburn at the dog park or keeping prying eyes from noticing your awkward tan lines.

With an asymmetric hem or straight across the bottom (depending on how fashionably off-kilter you want it), it just seems to bounce around with every step, looking so much better than anything else you could possibly wear when it’s 34°C in the shade. Oh, and there’s a little mirrored embroidery up top for just a hint of sparkle without turning full magpie.

It is slightly see-through in some lighting conditions, but the monochrome base is neutral enough to make layering simple. This one can go from pool party cover-up to Mediterranean lunch with nothing more than a hair tie and maybe that prosecco we mentioned earlier. It’s versatile and easy breezy – who doesn’t want more of that?
